It’s been an awesome week. I love working with Elder Ewald again. We were able to see a lot of people this week too. One of the people we visited is a lady we’ve been trying to visit for a long time. She’s been sick a lot though, so we only visited her once last transfer. She’s a really cool person and LOVES horses. On Saturday we helped her clean out her stalls. It was a lot of fun to get to know her better. I love being a missionary and teaching, but it’s always good to do service for a little break.
We also met another sister in the ward that we’ve been trying to reach. We found out that she works in Lancaster and stays there Monday through Friday, so that’s probably why we never could find her. She was also really fun to talk to because she recently picked up running. She actually does barefoot running, which was fun to talk about. Apparently barefoot running is a lot better for your body, since it’s more natural. She told us that when you run barefoot, the ball of your foot hits first. This is how your foot was designed to run. When you run with shoes though, your heel hits first. I’m still not entirely sure if I’d agree that barefoot is better, probably just because it’s a new concept to me, but it’s really interesting to consider. Maybe I’ll try barefoot running when I get home.
We also have seen a lot of progress with one of our investigators. We talked to him yesterday about Christ and the Atonement. He told us that nine or ten months ago, he barely knew anything at all about Christ. Now he knows quite a bit, and asks really good questions. He’s been keeping commitments and hopefully he’ll keep progressing.
Thanks for everything you guys do. I love you!
